Trudeau Cardboard Cut-out Selfies Budget Slashed by Bureaucratic Bores

Just when a Canadian Prime Minister was hip and cool to hang out with at parties (even in cardboard form!) meddlesome bureaucrats step in to put a stop to fun. What a surprise. 

Trudeau Cardboard Cut-outs have apparently been all rage at parties in the US and inspire spontaneous selfie moments that bring joy to all involved. 

"A Trudeau cut-out appeared at Canada Day events last year at the embassy in Washington, for example, and as recently as last week, at a Canadian tourism booth at the South by Southwest arts festival in Austin, Texas. 
But after Conservative party researchers alerted news media, including CBC News, to the images, Global Affairs Canada ordered an end to the practice."

I love how by switching words contained in inspirational quotes and completely transform the meaning and, if you're lucky, will also give you a better understanding of how the quote works. This one, for example, is largely based on confirmation bias. When confirmation bias is in effect, we will assume that other people will have the same concept of what behaviour will make you a "better" person. Culture to culture that idea of actions or behaviours that will make you a "better" person will shift. If you replace the word "behaviour" with a specific action, you will undoubtable lose a portion of your audience that feel the action your have described does not actually make you a better person. This is interesting stuff, I think.

Face Yoga Popeye Pose - The Yoga Face Selfie Technique

The Popeye Pose. The true art to this pose is being able to isolate and control the muscles in each cheek individually. The cheek with the pipe (or paint brush, or pencil, or whatever you have on hand) must be relaxed while the lips and teeth hold the pipe in place. The opposite cheek must be constructed into a smile while also resisting the force of the air being used to puff out the opposing cheek. Then you h ave to isolate the eye muscles so that the eye on the puffed cheek side is stretched as wide as it can go while the opposite eye is squinting. The selfie must be taken with the arm farthest from the wide open eye on a 3/4 degree angle.
