Ever seen the movie Delirious , starring John Candy? Well, up until recently neither had I. And, if I’m being completely honest, I still haven’t.  But you know what I have seen? The trailer. And I’ve embedded it below so you can see it as well. From what I’ve been able to gather scanning the trailer and the first few Google search results, the movie has something to do with a soap writer (played, I think, by Candy) who gets hit on the head and wakes up as a character in his own show, allowing him to manipulate characters….making people fall in love with him, fall out of love with each other, etc. The films was a commercial and critical failure…..but the public and critics sadly don’t know the meaning of namaste….and profundity of this brilliant piece of work is lost on them. Sadly, this work has aged better than those pretentious newspaper mouth-breathers could ever have hoped to. They are so far from Samadhi (the state of complete Self-actualization for you non-Yog...

Just when a Canadian Prime Minister was hip and cool to hang out with at parties (even in cardboard form!) meddlesome bureaucrats step in to put a stop to fun. We all heard how Donald Trump refused to shake Angela Merkel's hand. Then we all went to the YouTube and watched it happen while the press plaintively cried for a forgettable handshake. What Trump proceeded to not do (a handshake) incensed not only the world as a whole, but Angela Merkel, the deadliest practitioner of Yoga Face for Politicians. Some call her the "Yoga Face Selfie Ninja of the Free World", I call her "A Person Not To Be Snubbed". Sidenote: In my capacity as a professional cinematographer and event photographer, my heart went out to every photographer/cinematographer out there who would have to make the dreaded call to their directors/producers/editors that would go something like this: "Hi, this is Bill...no, there was no handshake captured...no, there was nothing I could do...honestly, no one got the photo!...what? my soul? No, I did not offer up my immortal soul to get the photo for you!...What do you mean I'm fired!?...Hello?...

Welcome back to another episode of Yoga Face Selfie, where I help you to start taking your selfies to the next level.   Today’s pose of the day is called “Warrior”. It was inspired by the film of the same name. It requires an intense stare combined with a moderately slack jaw.  Now, if your selfie, like mine, isn’t exactly where you want to be, just use some photoshop magic to give it the proper look. Today I’ll be sharing with you a little segment of how I take my sefies from owe to wow.  Some people ask me, why are you focused on introducing the world to Selfie 2.0 when there are so many social justice issues that need addressing? My answer? I am, just think, if everyone was so focused on their selfies, there would be no time to plot global domination! There would be no more wars. There would be no more terrorists. It’s not only me that thinks this either, for example, just look at Canada’s Justin Trudeau, he’s actually putting my Yoga Face Selfie 2...

Yoga Face: it’s yoga, fo’your Face - #YogaFaceSelfie This is a quick (under 15 second) morning exercise. I call it the asymmetrical face stretch. Start with one eyebrow and then bring the other up to match it. Then bring them down and repeat as many times as feels comfortable for you. You can also open your mouth wide during the stretch - but only if it feels comfortable to your practice. If you look like this - then you know you are ding this exercise correctly If you feel you don’t have the 15 seconds required for this, you should maybe question the life choices that led to such a abysmal lack of time for personal growth in your life. For quite some time now, yoga "selfies" have caused a stir in the yoga community, and with the recent New York Times article profiling them , I think it is about time Yoga Face Selfies also get the coverage they deserve.  Now, even if you really want to try Yoga Face Selfies, please remember that not all poses are suited for every face, please carefully consider each Yoga Face Selfie pose before trying that pose yourself. I repeat, t his is not for everyone. Please don’t ever hurt your face in order to get a picture — it's so not worth it!  If you do choose to participate though, you will be warmly welcomed into an ever growing community.
