Yoga Face Selfie Teaching Philosophies in Comparison with More Conventional Approaches to Learning

Image
In many Western Teaching Practices, fact regurgitation is the name of the game. This is not the case with the Yoga Face Selfie 2.0 techniques as practiced in modern day Canada. While working to have a face resembling anothers is a good way to start any session, the true celebration of self-realization (or self-actualization, if you prefer) is a face yogi who is able to express themselves in ways that no one can imitate.  We celebrate deviations from the normal expressions exemplified by the masses (aka Duckface) in the belief that only by deviating can one find new sources of inspiration for oneself.  Stay tuned to this blog and all our other social media platforms for more inspirational quotes from our guru! Inspirational Yoga Quote from Albert Einstein

Image
While I was meditating on the world's problems today I heard Albert Einstein roll over in his grave and say to me "If there is any religion that could respond to the needs of modern science, it would be #YogaFaceSelfie." Always remember that even when it's a rough day someone is watching out for you from beyond the grave. Thanks Bert!

VIDEO - Face Yoga Warrior Pose by "Yoga Face Selfie"

Image
Welcome back to another episode of Yoga Face Selfie, where I help you to start taking your selfies to the next level.   Today’s pose of the day is called “Warrior”. It was inspired by the film of the same name. It requires an intense stare combined with a moderately slack jaw.  Now, if your selfie, like mine, isn’t exactly where you want to be, just use some photoshop magic to give it the proper look. Today I’ll be sharing with you a little segment of how I take my sefies from owe to wow.  Some people ask me, why are you focused on introducing the world to Selfie 2.0 when there are so many social justice issues that need addressing? My answer? I am, just think, if everyone was so focused on their selfies, there would be no time to plot global domination! There would be no more wars. There would be no more terrorists. It’s not only me that thinks this either, for example, just look at Canada’s Justin Trudeau, he’s actually putting my Yoga Face Selfie 2...

VIDEO - Face Yoga Morning Stretch by "Yoga Face Selfie"

Image
Yoga Face: it’s yoga, fo’your Face - #YogaFaceSelfie This is a quick (under 15 second) morning exercise. I call it the asymmetrical face stretch. Start with one eyebrow and then bring the other up to match it. Then bring them down and repeat as many times as feels comfortable for you. You can also open your mouth wide during the stretch - but only if it feels comfortable to your practice. If you look like this - then you know you are ding this exercise correctly If you feel you don’t have the 15 seconds required for this, you should maybe question the life choices that led to such a abysmal lack of time for personal growth in your life. Also, remember, if you don’t document it, it didn’t happen. Prove you’re making the right life choices by posting with the hashtag #YOGAFACEtagram - so we know that you know, you’re making the right choices. *By doing these exercises every day you will become the most empowered, loving, and balanced version of yourself and hopefully by d...
