Yoga Face Selfie Gurus Inspire Photoshop Activists to Put Mr. Bean's Face into Every Movie and Painting in the Known World

Image
A movement has begun that involves online photoshop activists taking the face of Mr. Bean (aka Rowan Atkinson), a known Yoga Face Selfie guru, and inserting it into already popular movies and paintings to give classic works new life. We here at the Yoga Face Selfie Blog expect there is a correlation between this and the movie poster image of JAWS , which likely started this trend.  Art historians everywhere are rejoicing as it is now impossible to dig through the depths of the internet to find unadulterated images of such paintings as Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa". This uptick in museum attendance has been lauded as one of the many unexpected societal bonus's of the Yoga Face Selfie 2.0 technique.  Below you will find an assortment of the creativity as previous showcased on Bored Panda and now showcased below.    This post is an act of satire. Stay tuned to this blog and all ou

"Your Beliefs Don't Make You a Better Person, Yoga Face Does." - Inspired by a Sukhraj S. Dillon Quote

Image
"Your beliefs don't make you a better person, yoga face does." was inspired by a quote by Sukhraj S. Dillon, "Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behaviour does." I love how by switching words contained in inspirational quotes and completely transform the meaning and, if you're lucky, will also give you a better understanding of how the quote works. This one, for example, is largely based on confirmation bias. When confirmation bias is in effect, we will assume that other people will have the same concept of what behaviour will make you a "better" person. Culture to culture that idea of actions or behaviours that will make you a "better" person will shift. If you replace the word "behaviour" with a specific action, you will undoubtable lose a portion of your audience that feel the action your have described does not actually make you a better person. This is interesting stuff, I think.

Finding the Visionary Yogi in John Candy

Image
Ever seen the movie Delirious , starring John Candy? Well, up until recently neither had I. And, if I’m being completely honest, I still haven’t.  But you know what I have seen? The trailer. And I’ve embedded it below so you can see it as well. From what I’ve been able to gather scanning the trailer and the first few Google search results, the movie has something to do with a soap writer (played, I think, by Candy) who gets hit on the head and wakes up as a character in his own show, allowing him to manipulate characters….making people fall in love with him, fall out of love with each other, etc. The films was a commercial and critical failure…..but the public and critics sadly don’t know the meaning of namaste….and profundity of this brilliant piece of work is lost on them. Sadly, this work has aged better than those pretentious newspaper mouth-breathers could ever have hoped to. They are so far from Samadhi (the state of complete Self-actualization for you non-Yoga fo

Trudeau Cardboard Cut-out Selfies Budget Slashed by Bureaucratic Bores

Image
Just when a Canadian Prime Minister was hip and cool to hang out with at parties (even in cardboard form!) meddlesome bureaucrats step in to put a stop to fun. What a surprise.  Trudeau Cardboard Cut-outs have apparently been all rage at parties in the US and inspire spontaneous selfie moments that bring joy to all involved.  " A Trudeau cut-out appeared at Canada Day events last year at the embassy in Washington, for example, and as recently as last week, at a Canadian tourism booth at the South by Southwest arts festival in Austin, Texas.   But after Conservative party researchers alerted news media, including CBC News, to the images, Global Affairs Canada ordered an end to the practice."   Source:  http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-cut-outs-global-affairs-canada-conservative-harper-diplomats-1.4033120

Angela Merkel pulls EPIC Yoga Face Response to Trump for International Press

Image
We all heard how Donald Trump refused to shake Angela Merkel's hand. Then we all went to the YouTube and watched it happen while the press plaintively cried for a forgettable handshake. What Trump proceeded to not do (a handshake) incensed not only the world as a whole, but Angela Merkel, the deadliest practitioner of Yoga Face for Politicians. Some call her the "Yoga Face Selfie Ninja of the Free World", I call her "A Person Not To Be Snubbed". Sidenote: In my capacity as a professional cinematographer and event photographer, my heart went out to every photographer/cinematographer out there who would have to make the dreaded call to their directors/producers/editors that would go something like this: "Hi, this is Bill...no, there was no handshake captured...no, there was nothing I could do...honestly, no one got the photo!...what? my soul? No, I did not offer up my immortal soul to get the photo for you!...What do you mean I'm fired!?...Hello?&
